If you haven’t guessed yet this site is all about bird watching and the tools, aids and accessories you need to help you get the most out of this enthralling hobby that brings us all closer to nature.

And before you ask this site isn’t just about birdwatching at home, but bird watching everywhere!

INTRODUCTION

Bird watching has been one of my favorite pasttimes for many years now and has taken me to many different places and bird habitats both in this country and abroad. And I must admin that every minute of it has been great fun and extremely interesting. My knowledege of the birds, what they do and how to tell the different species apart has increased considerably, but to be honest there is still along way to go.

That’s one of the great things about birding and bird watching – there is always more to learn and more great experiences to be had. It has been a lifelong hobby that will always bring you hapiness. Being at one with nature and the birds and no-one else around except for other wildlife is an awesome experience that eveyone should get at sometime in their lives. If they don’t experience this then they are really missing out.

On this site you will find all the best books to help to with wild bird watching whatever level you are at. There are bird books for beginners, field guides for those with more experience and also books on bird photography for those with the money to spend on the digital cameras and lenses needed to get close and take some great bird pictures. Reading the best bird watching books is essential for anyone wanting to progress as a birder.

Elsewhere in our Bird Shop you will also find a ton of Bird Videos and Birding DVDs to watch after the light has gone down and most birds (but not all!) are roosting for the night and sleeping. Of course the best way to observe the birds is at home in the comfort and warmth of your own house. This is easily done by enticing the wild birds into your yard by giving them the facilities and food that they require. Many birds will soon vsit if you put out a bird feeder or two and if you also provide them with a bird house and a bird path they suddenly have everyhting they need – why would they go anywhere else unless of course they are migratory birds! So invest in one or two birdhouses and bird feeders if you want to see the wild birds close up in your own backyard.
